Twila White
Civil Rights Trial Lawyer
"Studying the Gerry Spence Method taught me the power of self discovery, authenticity, and vulnerability, and how these traits help to tell a story and get to the heart of a case."
Twila S. White, Principal Attorney of the Law Office of Twila S. White, specializes in labor and employment law, and has achieved verdicts and settlements in the six and seven figures. Her practice includes wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and whistleblower cases. She also handles wage and hour violation cases on behalf of employees. Many of Ms. White’s clients are low wage earners and well deserving clients who, without someone believing in their cases, would otherwise not receive justice and legal representation. In the seminal Johnson v. United Cerebral Palsy case, 173 Cal.App.4th 740 (2009), she was able to establish as a matter of law the admissibility of “me too” evidence, or “other victims of discrimination” evidence, in proving employment discrimination cases.
Ms. White studied at the Ranch in Wyoming, graduating in 2011. She has been recognized for her work by the Los Angeles Daily Journal, and named as a Top 75 Labor and Employment Lawyer and Top Women Lawyer. She is on the Board of Governors of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and Consumer Attorneys of California. In addition, Ms. White is a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association, where she is on the Arbitration Task Force Committee. Ms. White was appointed by the Chief Justice of California in 2015 to the Judicial Council’s Civil and Small Claims Advisory Committee and in 2018 to the Committee on Providing Access and Fairness. She has been selected as a Super Lawyer and Rising Star for numerous years since 2007.
