Michael Callahan

Michael Callahan is a trial lawyer because he is determined to give the people, he represents the best opportunity to win when up against insurance companies and corporations. For him, it’s about giving people a chance in the fight for justice.

In representing his clients, Michael uses the tools and methods learned from Gerry Spence to discover the story of the case, the client, and the witnesses, and then tell that story in a way that touches the hearts of the listener, ultimately the jury.

Michael is based in Houston, Texas. He and his firm focus on representing individuals and families in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases as well first party insurance cases. As an undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin, he studied mechanical engineering and graduated in 1989. He then worked as a design and construction engineer for a number of years before law school. He graduated from South Texas College of Law and has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1994. Michael is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has been listed in Texas Super Lawyers since 2008.

Michael is a 2005 graduate of Gerry Spence's program at the ranch and was a member of its teaching faculty for over 10 years. He joined the faculty of the Gerry Spence Method in 2023. His goal is to continue to learn and grow as a trial lawyer, and do his part to pass on what he has learned to lawyers who represent people.
