Rob Ammons

Bio

Rob Ammons is a trial lawyer who has dedicated his life to representing consumers against large corporations that refuse to take responsibility for their defective products and corporate wrongdoing.

Rob believes deeply in the power of storytelling and has transformed his trial practice with the Spence Method. He proudly supports the Immersive Trial Program at Thunderhead Ranch.

In 1988, Rob graduated cum laude from Baylor University Law School and was selected to serve as a briefing attorney for the Texas Supreme Court. Since 1991, he has gamered a national reputation for representing consumers in product liability and catastrophic injury litigation.

Rob founded The Ammons Law Firm in Houston, Texas, in 2004. He has recovered more than $1 billion for his clients, and his work has led to the recall of more than 100 million defective tires and automobiles.

Rob has served as lead counsel in more than 400 separate cases that have resulted in verdicts and settlements of $1 million or more, including several record-setting verdicts in multiple Texas counties.

In 2010, Rob obtained a record-setting $82.5 million verdict in Harris County for the family of a man who was killed by an explosion at a natural gas plant.

Rob’s wealth of knowledge and experience in handling complex tire defect cases is reflected in his book, Tire Defect Litigation. Published in 2016, the book is an essential and foundational guide to properly litigating tire defect cases.
